Therapy for Therapists
Therapy for Therapists
Being a mental health professional comes with a unique set of challenges. You are often the one holding space for others, managing complexity, and showing up with presence and care, even when you may not feel resourced yourself. It can be difficult to find a space where you do not have to be the one who “knows,” explains, or takes the lead.
I provide therapy for mental health professionals who are looking for a place to be supported, understood, and challenged in meaningful ways. As a full professor of social work, I bring a deep understanding of clinical practice, training, and the evolving demands of the field, which allows me to meet therapists with both professional insight and respect for the realities of the work. This work is grounded in mutual respect for the depth and nuance of clinical practice, while also creating space for you to step out of your professional role and focus on your own experience.
Therapists often seek support around:
Anxiety, stress, and burnoutTherapy for Therapists
Overextension and difficulty maintaining boundaries
Secondary traumatic stress and emotional fatigue
Perfectionism and high internal expectations
Political Stress
Navigating complex client dynamics
Life transitions, relationships, and identity outside of the therapist role
My approach integrates evidence-based practices to support emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and sustainable well-being. Together, we will work to identify patterns, shift unhelpful thought processes, and build strategies that support both your personal and professional life.
This is a space where you do not have to have it all together. You are allowed to be human here.
