Chronic health conditions

Living with a chronic health condition often brings a level of uncertainty that can be difficult to understand. Alongside the physical symptoms, there can be ongoing emotional strain, shifts in identity, and a sense of loss for how things once were or how you imagined they might be.

I specialize in supporting individuals living with chronic health conditions, including anxiety, grief, and stress. I work with those with chronic health conditions who are looking for support in managing anxiety, stress, grief, and the day-to-day impact of ongoing health concerns. This includes making sense of changing needs, coping with medical systems, and finding ways to move forward while holding both loss and possibility.

Individuals often seek support around:

  • Anxiety and health-related worry

  • Ongoing stress and uncertainty

  • Grief, loss, and changes in identity

  • Working with the medical system and feeling unheard and frustrated

  • Adjusting to limitations and shifting expectations

  • Emotional overwhelm and difficulty regulating responses

My approach integrates evidence-based practices to support emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and sustainable well-being. We will work together to better understand patterns of thought and response, reduce distress, and build strategies that feel realistic and supportive within the context of your life.

This work also recognizes the presence of ambiguous loss, the kind of loss that does not always have clear resolution or recognition, and the importance of creating space for both grief and adaptation.
