On Saturday, May 16th, from 9 a.m. until noon., Dr. Kristen Brendel will facilitate a three-hour continuing education workshop, “Ethical Decision Making in Social Work Practice.” This live virtual workshop will focus on using a pragmatic framework to navigate ethical situations, strengthen clinical decision-making, and limit liability. Cases will be presented, and you’re welcome to bring an ethical dilemma of your own to the workshop.

IL social workers (LSWs and LCSWs) may earn three CEUs for attending the full live virtual session, which can fulfill the ethics requirement for renewal of social work licenses in Illinois.

Registration is not complete until both the registration form and payment have been received. No refunds.

If a participant is unable to attend live, a recording of the presentation will be available 24 hours after the workshop for 60 days, along with a required exam that must be passed at 80% within that time for CEU credit. This is required by IDFPR. For this option, only two CEUs will be available, due to small group work that will not be recorded.

LPCs, LCPCs, LMFTs, and licensed psychologists are also welcome; please check with your professional board to see if IL Social Work CEUs can be applied to your license for renewal.
